Research Interests

My research addresses the evolutionary dynamics of adaptation, species formation, and hybridization, and their genomic foundations and consequences. Specifically, I am interested in the following questions: (1) How do genomic structural changes contribute to adaptation? (2) How does the genetic architecture of reproductive isolation affect genome differentiation and drives speciation? (3) To what extent can the genetic architecture of adaptation and speciation be inferred from summary statistics along the genome? To tackle my questions, I use a combination of comparative genomics, large-scale genomic and phenotypic data analysis, statistical modeling, and computer simulations.
