Research Interests

I am interested in the evolutionary dynamics of adaptation, species formation and hybridization, and their genomic foundations and consequences. Specifically, I study (1) in what way genomic structural changes are involved in adaptation and (2) how the genetic architecture of reproductive isolation can affect genome differentiation during early and advanced stages of speciation. I am further interested in how genomic heterogeneity in gene flow among populations or across hybrid zones might be indicative of the genetic architecture and the processes of adaptation and speciation. I use a combination of genomic and phenotypic data analysis, statistical modeling and computer simulations for my research.
